Steven Dutro has thirty-five years of experience in financial management with public and private companies and as a CPA. He has been a financial consultant since 2001 helping trucking companies raise capital, improve financial management, and execute business strategies. Prior to joining TCP, Steven spent 30 years in financial management with public and private companies and as a Certified Public Accountant. From 1986 to 2001, he worked with KLLM Transport Services in Jackson, Mississippi, as senior vice president and chief financial officer, where he helped manage the company’s revenues from $50 million to $236 million. KLLM raised capital through an initial public offering in 1986, various private debt placements, a secondary public stock offering in 1993, and several syndicated debt facilities and equipment leases. In response to a hostile takeover attempt, Steven managed KLLM’s sale from public company back to being privately-held. He holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting with Special Honors from Mississippi State University. Originally from Mississippi, he now resides in Windsor, Colorado.

• As a CFO sold a public carrier to private investors in $95 million transaction
• Assisted strategic investor in finding and securing a minority interest in a $180 million revenue carrier
• Assisted a $40 million revenue carrier in securing a $3 million mezzanine debt investment
• Assisted carrier in securing for the first time an ABL line of credit for $16 million
• Assisted carrier in securing a $30 million line of credit

I’ve closed a lot of transactions that have helped truck lines and owners move forward but it’s when I visit with career truck drivers, the ones with a million safe miles, and hear what their career has meant to them that its puts it all into perspective, work we can be proud of that takes care of our families.
